About COSPO

At the request of the Birmingham Police Department, COSPO was founded in 1985 for the sole purpose of raising and stewarding funds to support the college education expenses of the children of slain police officers. Many of those involved today have served the organization for over 35 years.
COSPO families paid the ultimate price for the safety of our community. COSPO safely manages funding and provides scholarships to children through a grant process.
Board of Directors
A dedicated board comprised of community volunteers and leaders from the Birmingham Police Department meets regularly to manage the scholarship process and promote the mission of COSPO.
